This project refers to the constant struggle between forgetting and remembering.
To remember is to constantly fish a memory from the lake of oblivion. The longer we do not refer to a given
memory, the deeper it sinks into it, which consequently requires a longer tool to fish it out.
As Henri Bergson used to say, if a memory is forgotten, it does not mean that it has been lost - it simply
settles discreetly at the bottom of the lake.
The works in this project try to illustrate the struggle described above.
They present both the act of reaching for a memory and the act of its sinking. The video gives the viewer
an insight into a mind focused on recollection, as opposed to still images depicting the process of memory
fading away.
The French phrase that serves as both the title and part of the video means „I remember”.
The audio track used in the video is the sound of the decoded images used to create the project.
